Brighton and Hove Albion have agreed a deal to sign much-needed reinforcements at the back heading into the summer transfer window.
Many fans have been questioning the depth at the back for Brighton during this season. Many associate the attack with being one of the best, but having a total contrast at the back.
Injuries to Lewis Dunk, Adam Webster, Jan Paul Van Hecke, and Igor have halted the progress for Brighton all season, without mentioning issues at full-back.
Olivier Boscagli was linked many times in the past as a potential Brighton target, as PSV notably rejected bids up to £8.5 million since last season’s summer transfer window. Boscagli has agreed a deal to sign for Brighton on a free when his deal expires on 1st July, as per Alex Crook from Talk Sport.
Tony Bloom has a tendency to revisit past targets and snap them up in the near future for a better deal. Many times a deal will stall, much like Tommy Watson’s back in January. Bloom will have an offer, and if the negotiations reach a desperate stage to force a panic buy, the deal will end there and then.
Boscagli is not blessed with height, but a very promising ball-playing defender. Fabian Hürzeler’s side likes to emphasise defenders stepping into midfield and becoming solo advancers and Boscagli could well help towards that next season.
